NKT FLEXIBLES AWARDED DKK 300M CONTRACT BY STATOIL
NKT Flexibles I/S has recently been awarded a 300 million-kroner contract by Statoil. The contract covers 13 production risers for different Statoil operated oil fields to be delivered in 2012-2013 and is the largest order Statoil has placed with NKT Flexibles.

Further to the announcement no. 14 dated September 20, 2011, the Boards of NKT Holding A/S and Subsea 7 S.A. have completed their review of strategic alternatives for the future development of NKT Flexibles (the “Company”) which has been operated as a joint venture between NKT Holding (51%) and Subsea 7 S.A. (49%) since 1999.

LOCATION OF NEW FACTORY ANNOUNCED
NKT Flexibles' Brazilian facility will be located in Superporto do Açu, less than 300 km north of Rio de Janeiro. NKT Flexibles CEO Michael C. Hjorth signed the agreement with the CEO of LLX, the company behind Superporto do Açu, Otavio Lazcano in a ceremony attended by LLX’ owner, Eike Batista, and the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Sérgio Cabral.
